Guest Speaker: Nancy Hon, Sunbelt Business Broker
Summary of Discussion: How to Prepare your Business for Sale
Bio: Nancy Hon is a licensed Business Broker with American Realty Brokers and a second-generation entrepreneur. Nancy loves working with and helping small business owners sell their business and she assists buyers in realizing their entrepreneurial dreams. She has owned 5 businesses including a local temp agency which is now in its 23rd year, three chiropractic clinics with her ex-husband - one in Malta, Europe, one in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and one in Cave Creek, Arizona. She also started a Women in Business Network group in Mexico, which had over 400 members.
Nancy is originally from Chicago but after having lived in many places throughout the country and abroad, she now calls Phoenix home. She's an avid hiker and outdoorswoman and loves Arizona for its rugged beauty. Nancy realized her lifelong dream of living and working abroad, and has traveled extensively both Nationally and Internationally. She loves animals and was heavily involved with animal resuce while in Malta and Mexico. She even started a small carpet cleaning business in Mexico that she called Mudpuppies Carpet Cleaning to help offset the costs of vet bills. Living abroad was the most exciting experience she's ever had and she highly recommends it to everyone.
After her divorce, Nancy moved back to Phoenix and got her real estate license with the intention of learning the skills necessary to become a business broker. Having had personal experience buying existing businesses, selling businesses, starting from scratch and managing businesses, she feels she is uniquely qualified to assist in all aspects of selling or buying a business.
There are not many business brokers due to the complex nature of the business, but Nancy loves the challenges and continues to educate herself through her International association where she is currently pursuing her Certified Business Intermediary accreditation and is actively involved in the local association.
Nancy is thrilled to be a part of the Phoenix Metro Chamber and is excited about the opportunity to share valuable information on How to Prepare Your Business for Sale.
